HBO's Carnivale in HD

Not the greatest show ever made by HBO but still visually sumptuous - the first season of Carnivale is now appearing slowly in TV Choice on Demand. This is the show Ronald D Moore worked on before Battlestar Galactica - something of an oddity and not to all tastes, the title sequence alone is worth watching in high def.

Oh I really enjoyed Carnivale - reminded me a bit of the Preacher graphic novel. I loved how the good guy was the bad guy and vice versa and there were loads of fantastic unique carnie characters.

Small world - at school I was best mates with Steve Dillon and still keep in touch.
Preacher movie in the pipeline by the way. Don't always think comics make great films, but Steve and Garth got that Tarentino/Rodriguez feel

Very cool sir, Steve Dillon's art on Preacher was hyper! Not holding my breath for a Preacher movie, but then I said that about Watchmen ;)

Thought the Watchmen film was surprisingly good - even liked the reworked ending. I tend to prefer my stories in their original media but every now and again Hollywood gets it right. If it's not sacrilege, I actually prefer Chris Nolan's take on Batman to any I've read over the years in print. Somewhat off topic, but hey, it's a holiday!
